Tricia was searching for love but, having no luck, was about to give up. Before throwing in the towel, she decided to give FarmersOnly a try, and ended up meeting Jay.
She knew he was the one when he was excited to go to the circus with his two grandchildren as well as two of hers. Not only did that catch her attention, but they seemed to balance each other out well. “He loves my crazy side and I love his calm side,” Tricia shares.
When they announced their engagement, pretty much everyone’s reaction was “it’s about time” - including their grandchildren! Their families had been able to see their love for each other right away, so the engagement came as no surprise.
Though getting married during a pandemic meant their wedding looked a little different than they may have hoped, they said “I do” with a beautiful ceremony by a lake with their children, grandchildren, and Tricia’s father in attendance.
“All 10 of our grandchildren walked me up and the youngest was one month old. She was my flowers!” Tricia recalls. “Our oldest grandson was the best man and our oldest granddaughter was my maid of honor.”
After saying their vows, Tricia and Jay had special grandchildren vows, during which they took them as their grandparents then put their names on a board that said “Grandchildren are a blessing from God.”
Tricia says that “your special someone is out there waiting for you. Never give up and you will find them on FarmersOnly!”
