In June while working in wine country in Paso Robles, California, Deanne met a sweet, interesting couple. She was intrigued to hear that they were on vacation, gearing up for almond season in the Central Valley. When they told her they had only been married for a few years, she was shocked.
“Their story was so hopeful and sweet,” Deanne shares. “I asked them how they met and they proudly told me ‘FarmersOnly.com’. I was intrigued by FarmersOnly for several reasons, including their story. The first was that I found like-minded individuals who were aligned with my beliefs politically and spiritually, and were very patriotic with core values centered around God, country, and family. I felt very safe on the site.”
Before long, Deanne met Chuck.
With Chuck living in Colorado and Deanne living in California, they decided to meet up just about halfway between the two for their first official date. They researched the Reno area, got input from friends and family, and decided to plan the trip.
On New Year’s Eve Chuck planned a beautiful dinner at a restaurant on the River Walk. “It was very romantic and special,” Deanne gushes.
When asked about how she knew Chuck was the one, Deanne shares that “he had me at hello.” They started off by sharing personal, private details about themselves and their past, which made them feel safe and open. In the end, both of them currently going through raw and difficult times proved to be what led them toward each other.
For Deanne, her love for Chuck stems from how he’s pursued her with “such amazing intention as a man of God who puts his faith and family first. I knew within the first few days of our first conversation what it was like to feel cherished, honored, and truly loved in an intentional way.”
For Chuck “it’s the listening, the feeling, and seeing what she has to say with her beautiful blue eyes!”
Their advice for others looking for love is that “someone is out there. Cast your net wider. Decide what your parameters are around distance and see where your net lands. Everything is different for everyone now that we are in a worldwide pandemic. What have you got to lose in taking a chance on finding someone, somewhere out there?”
