Rodney and I met on Farmers Only after I had only been on the iste for a couple weeks. I noticed him right away and I liked his picture. He has wonderful bright blue eyes, and also had on a cowboy hat. I still have to laugh about that. We talked a little bit at first and I kind of ignored him for a little bit. I had been in a bitter sort of divorce several months before, and he hadn''t lived with his wife for three years. They were still legally married so I blew him off, big time. I am not really sure what drew me back to him, but something did. He says I contacted him, I thnk it was the other way around. Now it doesn't matter any more. He lived on a farm in Pennsylvania, dairy farm, and I lived in Ohio on a family beef operation. I had grown up on a dairy farm while I was still in school. My Dad died while I was in highschool and we had to sell the dairy herd. I was sad to see them go. He ask if we could meet and eventually I gave in. We had talked for several weeks by phone and we lived about 3 hours apart. I was very curious and so was he. We met and it was just one of those things....kismet I think they call it. We dated for several months, his divorce was finally over, and we decided to get married. Both a lot gun-shy to say the least, but the spark was there undeniably. We will have our second anniversary in November, on the 17th. We have meshed two farming families. Very different families, and try very hard never to take each other for granted. We were both down that road before and cherish what we now have. |

Hi, Jason and I met on your website. I wasn\'t really looking for anyone in particular, I had just heard about the website from a friend and decided to check it out. I was contacted by many different individuals, but Jason is the one that caught my heart! I met him in the beginning of August and we conversed via email the first few weeks and then began speaking on the phone. I went out to visit him in South Dakota and had a wonderful time. We first began talking via framersOnly in July of 2007 things went well and around October we had our first phone call. We continued to talk by phone, text message, and email and things began to become serious. The day before new years eve I made the journey from Nebraska to Texas to meet her for the first time. It was the best thing that I had ever done. Everything was confirmed that we were meant to be. On February 10th I traveled to Texas and moved her back to my place in Nebraska. Just a couple of days after I posted my profile on FarmersOnly, I was checking out all of the other active members, and noticed a cute Christian almond farmer in northern CA. In the next day or so, \'Just Farmer\' started checking out my profile, and we started communicating on September 23, 2008. After emailing every day for two months, we started talking on the phone, and then met in person for the first time on December 26, 2008. Art and I started “talking” on Farmers over a year ago. I live in Idaho, he in South Dakota. Because of the distance, I never thought of him as anything but a friend. I think he had a different idea though. I wrote in my profile, that I wanted a great guy to sweep me off my feet. He wondered how he could do that. He did it during the next few months by being himself - sweet, kind, honest, considerate, and understanding. He became a very dear friend. Around Christmas 2008, we started sending text messages to one another, and he called the day after Christmas. I pretty immediately knew that there could be something more than a friendship. After not having dated for a couple of years, my daughters wanted to put me on eH*****y. "41 year old empty nester" signed on and 24 hours later met "The Horse Whisperer" that was around June 2006. Several e-mails, phone calls and a background check, I met Michael in person, not without having me son in law on the phone asking for the tag of his Ford truck. Our first date lasted 6 hours, he was perfect, tall, handsome, latin, lived on a farm, had horses, loved dogs and working in the yard and his children were grown, just as mine. A year ago in January, I was looking through the list of people who had viewed my profile. I had been on the site for about a year and was about to give up trying to find someone. With my career and master's degree courses I felt as though I may have had too many things going on and it wasn't my time to find someone. Then I saw Andy's profile. He had looked at my profile and I looked at his and thought he had a great smile and I wanted to see if anything was there. He emailed me back and about a week later he called me. He said he was glad I didn't pick up because he was so nervous and his phone message was probably all he could have mustered. He suggested I look at the America's Heartland News piece on the farmersonly site since he was part of the news story and wanted to make sure I knew he was an ok guy. We hit it off right away and he agreed to come to Nebraska for our first date. He was nervous I wouldn't show up at the airport and I was nervous he wouldn't like me. All the worry was for nothing! Since he arrived 2 days after Valentine's Day he arranged for flowers to be delivered to my office before his visit. I knew he must be someone special. We started traveling back and forth to Ohio or Nebraska alternating months. On December 18, 2007, the same year we met, he bought a plane ticket to Nebraska, proposed to me at the airport and two days later we flew back to Ohio for Christmas. Probably the most spontaneous thing he has ever done next to flying out to Nebraska to meet a girl! Our wedding is scheduled for June 21, 2008 in Columbus Nebraska and I will move to Ohio during that time. We wanted to find someone but never believed we would. | About 2 years ago I was single in Columbus with no farm boys in sight. I grew up near and still have all of my farm boy friends, I was 24 with big dreams of a farm and no one who shared the same ones. After about a week or two grant started pursuing me. | You wanted the story so, here it goes. The very day that I saw your ad on TV I checked into it that night and browsed through the profiles. I went past Johns profile and minutes later went back to it for some unknown reason and began to read his message. Again I left his site, only to return AGAIN. I then decided that he sounded too good. So, I sent him a message. It seems that he also did that very night as well to me. I hadn't even submitted my picture because I didn’t have one to send. Anyhow, from that moment on things were too strange. From who contacted who first, to us liking the exact same things in our music tastes, to food likes and dislikes. It got crazier all the time. We would sit and email each other at exactly the same time too; like I said so many coincidences, too many to write about. However, we had talked for weeks, and then decided that we must meet. So, my cousin who has a cottage in Muskoka decided that half way for both of us in distance would have to be “Bracebridge" On. So, off we went with my cousin there to interrogate poor John on my behalf, just to be sure. John brought all the right information for her and he passed the test with flying colors. Which I knew anyways he would, and she left us to enjoy each others company and we spent the whole day in the park talking and loving the beautiful day we had been given for each other! Ever since then we have talked back and forth every morning and night. It certainly has been a case of "Love at first sight" and we have never regretted it since. | I can't believe it! After 2-1/2 years of being on dating sites and finding no one I can relate to, I was listening the radio and heard about your site. I checked it out and it is EXACTLY what I’ve wanted all along! Jerry Miller hit the nail on the head when he realized what us “country/ranch folk” needed. I live in a very rural, country area—beautiful, but rural—where it is very hard to meet someone who isn’t your relative or that you haven’t known your whole like. Ed lives in Wallowa Or, which is only about 2000 miles from me in Conroe, Tx...but with all God's help and glory, I will be selling my home and relocating to be with him and my new family, we will be joining three young children and our selves in our matrimony , his little girl and my little boys and we both have other grown children as well.
