I was a member back in 2016 after my husband left me and my four month old son. My family experienced quite a few unexpected heartbreaks including the death of my grandmother and brother-in-law. I knew I had no desire to go back to him, I just wanted to move on. I met Bryce on FarmersOnly, he lived 45 minutes from my home. We talked for a few weeks. We found out we had sooo much in common, and we decided to meet. We spent a wonderful evening together, and we haven't had a desire to look elsewhere since! We both love the outdoors, country music, hunting... we complete one another. - Misty
What did you do on your first date?
On our first date Bryce came to my house and we watched a movie after I cooked a homemade meal for him. Probably not the most traditional first date, but we had been talking for about a month, learned we had a mutual friend, so I wasn't concerned about having him over to my home. We were more than content with a home-made meal and a movie.
When did you know that he was the one?
I knew he was the one after only a few weeks of dating. He wanted to meet my son, and he wanted my son to go out to dinner with us! He was very easy-going, and we had sooo many common interests-the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and common goals including a family and living the simple life!
How did he propose? Were you surprised?
He proposed at HIS surprise 30th birthday party that I had planned for him, so of course I was surprised! His mother brought the ring along to the party because she knew family and friends would be present. The proposal happened September, 29th 2018.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
My favorite thing about him is that he is so thoughtful and is always out to make me happy however he can. He is very affectionate and will show his appreciation for me even in public-I wasn't accustomed to this! He is a volunteer firefighter and selfless. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needs it.
His favorite thing about me is that I am "an amazing mother," and I wanted the family lifestyle-the same as him. (Common goals.) He also loves that I am easy-going, and it doesn't take much to make me happy.
Tell us more about your wedding plans!
Our wedding date is October 26th, 2019- a little over one year after our engagement! We are getting married at his family's small, country church. We are planning a fairly large wedding with 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen. My son is our ring bearer and his niece is our flower girl. The reception will be a rustic atmosphere at the local Grange Fair grounds. We have plans for almost 200 guests to share the day with us! We plan for our first dance to be Shanendoah's "I Want to Be Loved Like That."
